Embassy of the Philippines in Doha
The Philippine Embassy in Qatar announced that it has resumed its operations today (January 11), following its temporary closure due to some of its employees who tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The embassy was supposed to open yesterday, but as some personnel had not yet received their results, the closure was extended for another day.
âIn the RT-PCR tests conducted on Embassy personnel on January 2, laboratory results have revealed that some personnel have tested positive for Covid-19. Some personnel have also started to exhibit symptoms and are now being closely monitored by the Embassy,"Â Philippine Ambassador Alan L Timbayan said in a circular issued last January 4.
âEmbassy personnel who were previously on home quarantine for seven days underwent another round of RT-PCR tests on January 8, Â (Saturday) but they have yet to receive their results,â the Ambassador added.
