Palestinian Rescue Teams Recover Bodies of Eight Victims from Gaza Rubble

Gaza: Palestinian civil defence teams have recovered the bodies of eight Palestinians from beneath the rubble of a house in Gaza City that was destroyed in an earlier Israeli airstrike, as search efforts continue for additional missing victims. 

According to Gaza's Civil Defense authorities, the bodies were recovered from a residential building after rescue workers carried out painstaking search operations. Officials said some of the remains were in an advanced state of decomposition, while others had deteriorated significantly after being trapped under the debris for an extended period.

Rescue teams said they will resume operations at the site to search for the bodies of eight more people who are still believed to be buried beneath the collapsed structure. The operation has been hampered by the scale of the destruction and limited access to heavy machinery required to remove rubble safely. 

Civil defence and ambulance crews continue to recover bodies from targeted locations across the Gaza Strip despite severe operational challenges, including widespread devastation, damaged infrastructure and shortages of specialised rescue equipment. 

Humanitarian organisations have repeatedly warned that thousands of people are believed to remain trapped beneath collapsed buildings across Gaza, with ongoing rescue and recovery efforts complicated by continued hostilities and limited resources.
