Palestinian families in the occupied West Bank village of Qusra say they fear Israeli settlers could seize their homes after a days-long standoff that has left residents isolated and drawn international criticism.

The confrontation in Qusra, south of Nablus, has centred on three Palestinian homes that settlers have surrounded for several days. Residents and activists say access has been repeatedly blocked, while water and electricity were cut during the siege. One of the properties is owned by a Palestinian-American.

Families Fear Settlers Will Take Over Their Property

Residents say their central concern is that the settlers will remain in the area and ultimately take control of their homes or surrounding land. The standoff comes amid a broader rise in settler attacks and disputes over land across the occupied West Bank.

Activists Attempt to Deliver Food and Water

Palestinian, Israeli and international activists marched toward the affected homes on Friday carrying food and water. Associated Press reporting from Qusra said Israeli soldiers blocked the road and turned back activists attempting to reach the families, leaving supplies to be collected outside the restricted area.
