During the National Day holidays on December 18 and 19, the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) attended to a total of 7,876 patients, comprising both citizens and residents. Among the 31 health centers, 20 were operational during this period.
Of the total patients, 5,263 were served at general and family medicine clinics, while public dental clinics catered to 337 patients. Urgent case units in 10 health centers, including Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Al Ruwais, Al Shihaniya, Al Kaaban, Gharrafat Al Rayyan, Rawdat Al Khail, Muaither, Umm Slal, Al Mashaf, and Al Sadd, received 1,642 patients, each of whom received necessary attention.
Specialized clinic services, such as the eye clinic, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) clinic, dermatology clinic, and premarital examination clinic, along with pharmaceutical, radiology, and laboratory services, were provided during the National Day holiday to address the diverse needs of patients. Notably, the eye clinic assisted 79 patients, the ENT clinic saw 73 patients, and the dermatology clinic treated 65 patients at Leabaib and Rawdat Al Khail health centers. Additionally, one visit was recorded at the premarital screening clinic at Leabaib and Al Mashaf health centers.
The PHCC's Community Call Center conducted 255 virtual medical consultations for patients who contacted the 16,000 service line without prior appointments. This approach aimed to swiftly address urgent cases, providing necessary medical care and prescriptions through specialist doctors.
Emphasizing the importance of prompt and quality healthcare, PHCC assured that all health centers on duty during the National Day prioritized receiving patients promptly, minimizing waiting times, and meeting their needs. This commitment aligns with the National Health Strategy and Qatar’s National Vision 2030, reflecting the corporation's dedication to offering the best medical services and healthcare to citizens and residents.
