Old currency notes can be exchanged until further notice says QCB

The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has said that the period for the exchange of the old currency (4th edition) is open until further notice.

The QCB, through its official Twitter handle, said that the source of funds for any amount exceeding QR50,000 should be disclosed according to the requirements of the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Committee. This should be also done while the exchange is made by banks for those who have accounts with them.
