Qatar Tourism has announced the opening of nominations for the Qatar Tourism Awards 2024, marking the second edition of this prestigious event. Organized in collaboration with the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), these awards aim to recognize the exceptional contributions of businesses and individuals in Qatar's tourism and hospitality sectors.

The inaugural Qatar Tourism Awards, launched last year, successfully established a platform to celebrate excellence in industry service. To introduce the second edition, Qatar Tourism hosted a press conference in Doha, where Omar Al Jaber, Acting Chief of the Tourism Development Sector, expressed his pleasure in announcing the commencement of submissions for the 2024 awards.

Al Jaber extended an invitation to all companies, individuals, entrepreneurs, tourist attraction owners, workers, influencers, and entities involved in promoting tourism in Qatar, both locally and internationally, to apply for these prestigious awards.

The submission process is open to all tourism-related businesses and individuals, featuring seven main categories: Service Excellence, Gastronomic Experiences, Iconic Attractions and Activities, World Class Events, Digital Footprint, Smart and Sustainable Tourism, and Community Leadership. The application portal, which opened yesterday, will accept submissions until August 8, 2024.

This year's awards aim to celebrate Qatar’s vision for sustainable development, emphasizing cultural heritage and fostering public-private sector collaboration in promoting tourism. The Qatar Tourism Awards 2024 presents an exciting opportunity for Qatar's tourism and hospitality sectors to showcase their exceptional services and contributions, reinforcing the country’s commitment to providing outstanding visitor experiences and promoting Qatar as a premier tourist destination.
