Night Owls
A recent study from Imperial College London reveals that night owls could be more intelligent than early risers.
Analyzing data from over 26,000 participants in the UK Biobank, researchers found that those who preferred staying up late outperformed their early bird counterparts on cognitive tests by as much as 13.5%.
Despite this advantage, experts emphasize the importance of getting sufficient sleep for overall brain health. To boost processing speed, memory, and cognitive abilities, adults should aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night.
So, if you’re a night owl, take pride in your late-night smarts—but don’t forget to prioritize quality rest!
