Moderna Covid-19 Vaccine
Qatar’s vaccination programme crossed a major milestone on Saturday with 90 per cent of the country’s eligible population (12 years and above) receiving at least one Covid-19 vaccine dose, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has said.
The Ministry also urged those who have not yet received the jab to get it at the earliest.
“If you are eligible but have not yet got your vaccine, act now to protect yourself and your family and help us return to normal life,” the Ministry said in a tweet.
With 90 per cent of the eligible population receiving the vaccine, the Ministry is just days away from vaccinating the country’s entire eligible population, if all of those who are eligible come forward to get vaccinated.
Officials had earlier said that, on an average, around 20,000 vaccine doses are being administered every day.
The total number administered since the start of the vaccination campaign is 4,076,666 doses.
