Ukrainian Plane Hijacked
According to Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Yenin, a Ukrainian flight that arrived in Afghanistan’s Kabul city to evacuate all the Ukrainian citizens has been hijacked by unidentified armed people.Â
Russian News Agency TASS reported that the Deputy FM said: “Last Sunday, our plane was hijacked by other people. On Tuesday, the plane was practically stolen from us, it flew into Iran with an unidentified group of passengers onboard instead of airlifting Ukrainians. Our next three evacuation attempts were also not successful because our people could not get into the airport."Â
The news agency stated that deputy FM did not mention anything about the plane’s whereabouts or whether Ukraine will implement plans to get the flight back to its country.
The agency also mentioned that Deputy FM did not answer regarding how the remaining citizens in Afghanistan would get back to Ukraine.Â
