HH the Amir Holds Phone Call with British Prime Minister

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with HE Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson on Sunday evening.

During the phone call which HH the Amir received from HE the British Prime Minister, the two sides reviewed the latest regional and international developments, mainly the developments in Afghanistan. The two sides stressed the importance of continuing the talks and intensifying the necessary efforts to achieve national reconciliation and a peaceful transfer of power, for the benefit of the Afghan people.

HE the British Prime Minister expressed thanks to HH the Amir for the efforts made by the State of Qatar in the negotiations of the peace process of Afghanistan.

The phone call also touched on the strong bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, in addition to issues of mutual concern.
