Welshman McCain Qualifies for Quarter-Finals

Welshman Joel McCain qualified for the quarter-finals of the Qatar Classic Squash Championship by defeating his English counterpart Patrick Rooney 3-0 in the third round today.

McCain expressed his happiness at the victory over Rooney, stressing that the match was not easy at all and that he played with great focus from the beginning until he won the three games.

McCain said that it would be great for him if he managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the championship, in order to have the opportunity to advance in the world ranking and avoid facing the top ranked in the upcoming tournaments.
