More than 7100 new job opportunities have been created for the citizens of Qatar

Doha, Qatar

7100+ new job opportunities have been created for the citizens of Qatar across public and private sectors according to 2022 Recruitment Statistics released by the Ministry of Labour and Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CSGDB) yesterday. Over 5000 citizens were hired by the public sector last year.

With this data, the ratio of female to male hires, the most in-demand field of work, and other information were also shared.

Primary Healthcare Corporation, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and Hamad Medical Corporation were the top hiring entities in the government sector.

Ministry of Municipality, the Supreme Judiciary Council, and the General Authority of Customs provided the most job opportunities in the government sector.

The private sector hired around 1850 Qatari with 52% Male hires and 48% female hires. The most in-demand sectors were management, finance, and engineering. 

Qatar National Bank, Qatar Energy, Qatar Foundation, Qatar Airways, and Ooredoo were the top hiring entities in the private sector.

Dhabya Al Buainain, Director of the National Human Resources Development Department, Civil Service, and Governmental Development Bureau, said: “2022 was a great year for the recruitment market in Qatar. It has welcomed many new employees who are enriching our government and helping to fulfill Qatar National Vision 2030."

“At CSGDB, we have focused on Qatarisation to bring in the best talent, something we have achieved through a range of tools, including the expansions of Kawader and a government scholarship program. As we enter 2023, we look forward to welcoming more recruits across government entities.”
