MoL to Launch Ouqoul Platform to Help Expatriate Students Find Jobs in Qatar

The Ministry of Labour (MoL) is preparing to launch the first phase of the 'Ouqoul' platform, designed to connect university graduates in Qatar with private sector job opportunities. This platform will simplify the hiring process, helping recent graduates find positions that align with their skills and career goals.

Eng. Munira Al Shraim, Director of the Projects Department at the MoL’s Office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Expatriate Labour Affairs, stated that the platform will be rolled out in stages, with the launch date to be announced soon. Once live, the platform's link will be shared with new expatriate graduates, universities, and private companies.

The 'Ouqoul' platform focuses on expatriate students who have graduated from Qatari universities, aiming to facilitate their entry into the local private sector job market. Al Shraim highlighted that these students, being familiar with local culture and laws, are well-positioned to integrate into the community compared to those recruited from abroad.

As part of the Third National Development Strategy, MoL is also working on separate platforms to provide job opportunities for Qatari citizens in the private sector. The 'Ouqoul' platform specifically targets expatriate students.

Aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030, the platform's goals are to enhance workforce productivity, increase job opportunities for expatriate graduates, and improve recruitment processes. It will feature identity verification, job postings, search functions, and an advanced administrative dashboard. AI tools will assist in resume processing, job matching, and provide chatbots for support.

The platform will offer three interfaces for expatriate graduates, private companies, and universities. Graduates can create profiles, use AI to generate resumes, search and apply for jobs, and receive career development suggestions. Companies can post job openings, find suitable candidates, and manage recruitment efficiently through the platform.
