MoCI reports three violations at Al Sailiya Central Market; legal action taken

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has recorded 03 violations in the Central Market of Al Sailiya vegetables and fruits for violating the provisions of Law No. (8) year 2008 regarding consumer protection & its Executive Regulations.

Two of the violations had a price discrepancy. The second violation was commercial fraud, the defendant deceptively led the consumer.

Legal action has been initiated against individuals found in violation of the rules, and relevant cases have been forwarded to the respective authorities.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry also affirmed that it will intensify inspection and monitoring campaigns to counter violations, protect consumer rights, and ensure transparency in market transactions.

The ministry also added that the consumers can reach it at 16001 in case of complaints and queries.
