Ministry warns against copying World Cup logo on vehicle number plates

Copying and installing the FIFA World Cup logo on to the number plates of vehicles is prohibited, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has said, citing a General Directorate of Traffic statement.

“The plates containing the World Cup logo are special versions that are issued according to specific terms and conditions in coordination with FIFA, for newly registered vehicles, and for auctioned special number plates only,” the authority said.

“It is prohibited to copy and install the World Cup log on the vehicle number plate. Anyone who violates this will be exposed to legal accountability and referred to the authorities to take legal measures against them.”
