Qatar transport
The inspection campaigns organized by the MOT, in cooperation with relevant departments of MOI for Q1 2026 on limousine companies and the companies that provide passenger transportation services through electronic applications, have been completed.
The campaigns resulted in the detection of 32 violations falling under law no.8/2019, enacted to regulate road transport, as well as its implementing regulations (the Minister of Transport’s decision No.13 of 2024).
The new campaigns spanned all of Qatar, but had a keen focus on business, service and critical areas — signaling an expansion in the reach of a crackdown that appears to have become increasingly laser focused on crowded locations with concentrated levels of activity.
The MOT continues to ensure law enforcement activities against law breaking companies through campaigns like this few. It also reminds all companies to abide by existing laws and acquire the necessary licenses if they are going to operate legally and avoid accountability.
Travel and transport companies, at the same time, shall strictly follow the law and shall meet all service quality standards.
