The Ministry of Municipality, through the General Cleanness Department and in collaboration with Qatari Diar, wrapped up the World Cleanliness Day celebrations by organizing a public cleanliness march on Lusail Boulevard in Lusail City, under the theme 'Cleanliness is Everyone's Responsibility.'

The event aimed to recognize the crucial role of cleanliness workers and honor their daily efforts in keeping Qatar’s cities clean. It also demonstrated Qatar’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental preservation, aligning with the Qatar National Vision 2030, which prioritizes a clean environment as a key pillar of overall development.

The half-hour march, supervised by authorities from the Ministry of Interior, saw active participation from several officials from both the Ministry and Diar. The event involved eight vehicles and 100 workers from the General Cleanness Department, along with eight vehicles and 100 workers from Diar.

This initiative highlighted the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors in addressing community concerns, especially public cleanliness, which is seen as a shared responsibility. To mark World Cleanliness Day, celebrated annually on the third Saturday of September, the Ministry organized awareness activities and cleaning campaigns for beaches and islands.

These efforts reinforce Qatar's leading role in raising environmental awareness and encouraging public involvement in maintaining the cleanliness of public spaces and essential facilities.
