Ministry of Transport, Qatar Society of Engineers sign MoU

DOHA — The Ministry of Transport and the Qatar Society of Engineers (QSE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two sides in areas of mutual interest. 

Under the agreement, the two sides will work together in fields including the exchange of expertise and technical information, the development of national engineering competencies, and cooperation on training programmes, workshops, conferences and specialised events serving the transport sector.

The Ministry of Transport is responsible for supervising land, maritime and air transport in Qatar, developing and improving transport services and monitoring compliance with technical performance standards, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The Qatar Society of Engineers, a professional non-profit association established in 2007, works to raise the standard of the engineering profession in the country, developing the technical and administrative competence of those working in the sector through lectures, conferences and training, in cooperation with government and private bodies.
