Qatar healthcare
15 April 2026 — The Ministry of Public Health announced on Friday that three people were arrested for providing nursing, allied health professionals and laboratory technology services at a private health center without a license.
The Ministry said in a statement today that all necessary legal measures are taken against the violators and the non-compliant facility, according to the laws and regulations governing the practice of healthcare professions within the State.
This step comes within the framework of the ministry's efforts to follow up and monitor health practitioners during inspection tours carried out by the Department of Healthcare Professions; which works to ensure that healthcare practitioners are compliant with laws and regulations as per the governing health sector locally.
The Ministry of Public Health also called on members of the community to obtain health services only from Licensed health facilities and practitioners who hold licences validly issued by the ministry in order to preserve their own well-being and guarantee availability of safe and reliable medical services.
The Ministry added that the ''Find a Registered Healthcare Practitioner'' electronic service available on the ministry's official website enables anyone to verify any healthcare practitioner who works in the State.
