Parking in Residential Area
Al Shamal Municipality has launched a campaign to dissuade people from parking heavy vehicles, boats and cabins in residential neighbourhoods, the Ministry of Municipality said in a tweet on Wednesday.
The municipal inspectors stuck removal stickers on several boats and vehicles as part of the campaign that seeks to raise awareness of the Public Hygiene Law that prohibits eyesores that ruins the aesthetic view of the surroundings.
The ministry said parking heavy vehicles, boats and other equipment in undesignated areas constitutes a violation of Law 18 of 2017. The article 4 of the law prohibits the parking of abandoned vehicles, equipment, machines and temporary or fixed buildings, without a license from the municipality in squares, roads, streets, corridors, alleys, sidewalks and public parking lots.
