HE Minister of Social Development and Family Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad said that the first year of marriage programme is a comprehensive social movement that reflects the ministry's slogan highlighting the importance of the strength of the family in Qatar.

Her Excellency explained that the program for the first year of marriage includes a theoretical, educational and awareness aspect, in addition to training and practical packages, with the aim of strengthening the strength and solidity of the Qatari family, and the success of the marriage institution within the local community.

She emphasized the close joint work between the state's private and governmental institutions, to enhance the social conditions in the state, and raise awareness over family-related issues, in addition to raising awareness of the behaviors that spouses must adopt, such as managing financial affairs, mutual and continuous dialogue, and how to facing crises, manage psychological stress, and other basic keys that couples need, especially during the first years of marriage.
