MOI Extends 50% Discount on Fines Until November 2024

The General Traffic Directorate at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced a three-month extension of the 50% discount on traffic violations. The extended discount period will be in effect from September 1, 2024, to November 30, 2024.

This extension applies to all vehicles, including those owned by citizens, residents, visitors, and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nationals. The discount will be applicable to violations recorded within the past three years, with the discount period initially starting on June 1, 2024.

Additionally, effective September 1, 2024, the MoI declared that individuals with outstanding traffic violations will not be permitted to leave Qatar through any border until all fines and due payments are settled.
