MOFA Secretary General and other officials discusses cooperation relations
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Dr. Ahmad Hassen Al Hammadi met with Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Division for Treaty Affairs in Vienna, H E John Brandolino, in the presence of the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations and international organisations in Vienna, Ambassador H E Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri.
During the meeting, which was held at the United Nations building in Vienna, they discussed the existing cooperation and relations between the State of Qatar and UNODC, and ways to expand these relations in the future.
Al Hammadi affirmed Qatar’s commitment to continue supporting international activities, including the activities of the United Nations Office in Vienna, with the aim of addressing terrorism, organised crime, drug trafficking and corruption.
Brandolino expressed the gratitude of the United Nations Office for the generous support provided by the State of Qatar to the office in a way that enhances its capabilities in assisting countries, especially developing countries, in combating organised crime and related drug crimes, terrorism and corruption, and protecting young people from the dangers of these crimes.
