MOEHE Organizes Ceremony Honoring "My White Flag Award" Winners

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has organized a ceremony honoring the winners of the "My White Flag Award" for the academic year 2024, which came this year under the slogan "My Safety in my Nursery", within the framework of the activities of the International Day of Education 2025.

MOEHE's Assistant Undersecretary for Special Education Affairs, Omar Abdulaziz Al-Naama, stressed the importance of nurseries as the first building block in the education process, during which children learn the first stages of communication and discover the world around them, which contributes to building their independent personalities.

He underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between nurseries, parents and the local community to achieve a comprehensive educational vision.

For her part, Director of the Nurseries Department, Ghada Sultan Laram, pointed out the Ministry's commitment to the Qatar National Vision 2030, which places early education and early childhood development among its priorities, underlining that the "My White Flag Award" aims to support nurseries and encourage them to adopt the best educational practices.

The winners of the award were selected based on strict criteria that included security and safety as the core of the care process, along with the educational and spatial environment, curricula, career cadres, leadership, and the promotion of ethical and human values.

The "My White Flag Award" is the culmination of the Ministry's efforts in upgrading the level of care and education in nurseries, as it seeks to enhance the safety and security of children, and enable them to grow and thrive in a positive environment, making it one of the leading initiatives supervised by the Department of Nurseries in the Private Education Affairs Sector.
