Doha, Qatar | September 13, 2026 : The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has announced that Ooredoo Money has joined the Single Window Platform as its first fintech partner, under a cooperation agreement signed with Ooredoo Fintech Qatar.

Agreement Aims to Strengthen Private Sector Integration

The Ministry said Sunday that the agreement forms part of its efforts to expand the range of services available through the platform, strengthen integration with the private sector, and further develop services provided to the business community.

Deal Signed by Senior Officials from Both Sides

The agreement was signed by Director of the Single Window Department at MOCI, Mubarak Abdulrahman Al Khulaifi, and Country Head at Ooredoo Fintech Qatar, Mashail Abdulfattah.

Merchant Wallet Access Integrated Into Registration Process

Under the agreement, investors, business owners, and entrepreneurs will be able to apply for an Ooredoo Money Merchant Wallet as part of the commercial registration issuance or renewal process through the Single Window Platform, in accordance with applicable laws. The service is designed to facilitate access to digital payment solutions and financial services that support business growth, while reducing reliance on manual transactions and paper documents — simplifying the investor journey and improving procedural efficiency.

Al Khulaifi Highlights Ongoing Financial Sector Partnerships

Al Khulaifi said the agreement forms part of a series of cooperation deals the Ministry has concluded with financial institutions operating in Qatar, aimed at delivering high-quality services to the business sector, simplifying procedures, and enhancing efficiency through a unified digital platform. He added that the agreement strengthens the Single Window Platform's role as the primary government destination for establishing and conducting business in Qatar, reflecting the Ministry's commitment to expanding strategic partnerships that support faster transactions, a more competitive investment environment, and sustainable economic development in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Ooredoo Official Emphasizes Financial Inclusion Goals

For her part, Mashail Abdulfattah said enhancing financial inclusion for the business sector begins with facilitating access to financial services. She noted that integrating Ooredoo Money into MOCI's Single Window Platform allows these services to be offered at a pivotal stage of the business establishment journey, helping reduce challenges faced by investors and entrepreneurs while strengthening a more integrated digital ecosystem that supports the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in Qatar.
