Kuwait's Bashar Abdullah Praises Tournament Exceptional Organization

 The former Kuwaiti national team star, Bashar Abdullah, confirmed that the State of Qatar managed to change the image of the Arab Cup through its remarkable and exceptional organization of the 10th edition, which witnessed the participation of 16 teams under the supervision of the International Football Association (FIFA).

Bashar said, in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that he had previously participated in three editions of the Arab Cup, where there was lack of interest, great weakness at the media and technical levels, but in the 10th edition the situation was different in all respects and beyond description, which is not strange for the State of Qatar, which has always been proactive at the organizational level due to the capabilities and facilities that it harnesses.

Regarding the absence of the Kuwaiti team despite its participation in the qualifiers that preceded the tournament and its farewell after losing to the Bahraini team, Bashar Abdullah said that there is no doubt absence of the Kuwaiti team from these competitions is painful, in light of the great technical benefit that the participating teams gained and the Kuwaiti national team needed this kind of tournament, and hoped that the Kuwaiti team will have the opportunity to be present in an upcoming Arab championship like this edition, and to return to leave its mark in the Gulf and Arab region and be able to restore its former glow.

As for his opinion on the participation of the Qatari team and obtaining third place after defeating the Egyptian team in the match to determine the third and fourth places by penalty kicks, the former Kuwaiti star stressed the importance of what the Qatari team achieved by winning the bronze medal.
