Israeli Forces and Settlers Intensify Attacks Across Occupied West Bank

Israeli forces and settlers have intensified attacks against Palestinians and their property across several areas of the occupied West Bank, according to reports carried by the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) and Qatar News Agency (QNA).

Local sources reported detentions, home raids, shootings, vehicle searches and attacks on Palestinian property in and around Ramallah, Nablus, Bethlehem and Hebron.

Detentions and Raids Near Ramallah and Nablus

Israeli soldiers detained two young Palestinians in Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah. The village and surrounding communities have faced repeated settler attacks and Israeli military raids, according to the report.

In the Nablus area, Israeli forces entered several villages, raided homes and searched their contents. Palestinian residents were also subjected to field questioning.

Settler Attacks Reported in Beit Imrin

In Beit Imrin village near Nablus, settlers reportedly entered the community and stole belongings from a Palestinian resident. QNA, citing Palestinian sources, also reported an arson attack against a Palestinian home.

The incidents occurred amid continuing concern over settler violence and the protection of Palestinian communities in rural areas of the West Bank.

Palestinian Shot Near Hebron

In the Hebron area, Israeli soldiers shot and wounded a Palestinian while he was tending livestock, according to the report. Several animals were also killed by gunfire.

No additional information on the injured Palestinian's condition was provided in the QNA report.

Military Measures and Farmer Attacks Near Bethlehem

Israeli forces established a military cordon at the entrance to Battir village near Bethlehem and searched Palestinian vehicles. Troops were also deployed south of Bethlehem and carried out a foot patrol.

Separately, settlers were reported to have attacked Palestinian farmers in the Eastern Plain area.

Commission Reports More Than 2,000 Attacks

The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said Israeli forces and settlers carried out more than 2,000 attacks against Palestinians, their land and property during the period covered by its latest figures.

According to the commission, Israeli forces were responsible for 1,458 attacks and settlers for 798. It said the highest numbers were recorded in Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 260 incidents, followed by Nablus with 247, Jenin with 190, Bethlehem with 185 and Hebron with 170.

The figures and descriptions of the incidents are attributed to Palestinian authorities and local sources cited by QNA. The QNA report did not include an Israeli response to the allegations.
