In April 2024, the number of inbound visitors reached approximately 382,000, marking an annual increase of 17.9% compared to April 2023 and a monthly increase of 16.3% compared to March 2024. Visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) constituted the largest group at 42%. Air travel was the most common mode of entry, accounting for 55% of the total visitors, according to the "Qatar: Monthly Statistics" bulletin released by the National Planning Council.

The bulletin also highlighted a decline in the total number and value of properties sold, with monthly decreases of 25.0% and 15.9%, respectively, compared to March 2024. Building permits issued in April 2024 totaled 466, reflecting a monthly decrease of 37.6% but an annual increase of 21.7%.

April 2024 saw 7,011 new vehicles registered, representing a monthly decrease of 10.5% and an annual increase of 2.9%. Traffic accidents, excluding those without injuries, totaled 762 cases, showing a monthly decrease of 5.2% and an annual decrease of 2.2%. Most traffic accidents resulted in light injuries (93%), followed by severe injuries (6%), with 10 fatalities, accounting for 1% of total traffic accidents.

Vital statistics for April 2024 reported 2,496 live births, with Qatari live births increasing by 17.7% compared to the previous month. There were 221 deaths, a decrease of 3.1% from March 2024. Marriage contracts increased by 1.9% monthly, totaling 328, while divorce certificates decreased by 13.7% to 120 cases.

The total net tonnage of vessels decreased by 29.9% in April 2024 compared to the previous month. Social security payments reached QR 78 million for 14,407 beneficiaries, recording a monthly increase of 0.6% in value and 0.2% in the number of beneficiaries.

In the banking sector, the total Broad Money Supply (M2) was about QR 736 billion in April 2024, an annual increase of 5.7% compared to April 2023. Cash equivalents, including Commercial Bank Deposits, reached QR 1,025 billion, an annual increase of 6.3% from QR 964 billion in April 2023.
