How to notify your employer if you’re changing/leaving your job? – Qatar Resignation Process
Qatar has announced new procedures allowing workers to change jobs freely, without requiring a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from their previous employer. However, there are certain steps to follow in the resignation process.
Are you still looking for jobs in Doha? There are many recruitment companies to help make your job search fast and easy.
And, if you are ready to move to a new company, here are the 6 easy steps to follow:
1. Notify your current employer through the electronic system of the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA): https://www.adlsa.gov.qa/en
• You should give a one-month notice if you have been in the job for two years or less
• You should give a two-month notice if you have been in the job for more than two years
2. You and your new employer should receive an SMS from MADLSA confirming the change of employment.
Â
3. Your new employer should initiate the electronic employment contract on the Ministry’s Digital Authentication System.
4. Your new employer should print out the employment contract, and discuss and sign it with the worker.
5. Your new employer should upload the signed employment contract on the MADLSA Digital Authentication System, and pay the authentication fee of QAR 60.
6. When the employment contract is authenticated, your new employer should submit a request for a new QID to the Ministry of Interior.
NOTE: You are also required to attach your resignation copy with the application for job change.Â
According to Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, Mohammed Hassan Al Obaidli, the signature and stamp of the new company where you want to transfer is also needed.
