Qatar, after being asked to bat first, posted a competitive total of 138/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Although they had a shaky start, the middle-order batsman, Mohammad Tanveer, played a pivotal role, scoring an unbeaten 40 runs from 31 deliveries.
