Hamad International Airport’s (DOH) Enjaz national talent development programme recently saw its candidates successfully complete a three-week training at the Munich Airport Academy, an internationally recognized training division of Munich Airport.

Ten nationals from the Enjaz Advanced division were selected for in-depth training covering airport operations, management, infrastructure, safety, and security, among other airport-related topics. Launched in 2020, Enjaz aims to nurture and develop Qatari talent to become future leaders in the aviation industry, aligning with the Qatar National Vision 2030 - Human Development Pillar.

In line with Hamad International Airport’s commitment to fostering relationships within the aviation industry and its longstanding partnership with Munich Airport International (MAI), the three-week program at Munich Airport Academy included theoretical sessions and practical on-the-job experience. The training was led by subject matter experts and senior management from Munich Airport, Munich Airport Academy, and MAI. The candidates engaged in a tailored program that covered the operations and functions of an airport city, explored new cultures and environments, examined different airport business models, and delved into all facets of the aviation industry.

Ahmed Essa Al Baker, Manager of National Development & Employee Engagement and leader of the Enjaz Programme at Hamad International Airport, stated: “The Enjaz programme is a key pillar of Hamad International Airport’s Talent Development Strategy, significantly investing in developing Qatari talent. Through this comprehensive international learning journey, we are demonstrating our commitment to building the capabilities of nationals who will lead the future of the aviation industry with the right knowledge, skills, and experience.”

The Enjaz Programme at Hamad International Airport comprises two divisions - ‘Essential’ and ‘Advanced’ - focused on technical, managerial, and leadership skills to support the growth of national employees, build their capabilities, and provide the tools for career excellence. The ‘Essential’ development plan is a one-year course supporting individuals in their current roles through functional training, shared knowledge, and managerial foundation training. The ‘Advanced’ plan, also a one-year course, prepares candidates for senior management roles by honing managerial and leadership skills through on-the-job training and coaching, both locally and internationally.
