HIA Qatar
Hamad International Airport (HIA) has recorded an increase in aircraft movement, and of its passengers for the month of September this year, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) has announced on social media today, October 16, 2022.
According to the QCAA’s infographics, preliminary air transport statistics for the month of September 2022 indicated an increase in aircraft movement by 13.6% compared to the same month last year. HIA saw 15,551 aircraft movements in September last year, but this year, that number has risen to 17,660.Â
On the passenger side, the number also increased by 74.4%. 1,819,250 people passed through HIA in September 2021, but that number soared to 3,172, 062 in September this year.Â
Meanwhile, air freight and mail showed a decline of 12.6% compared to the same month in 2021.
