Hamad International Airport
Hamad International Airport (HIA) saw a 29.9 percent increase in aircraft movement in July 2022 compared to the same time in 2021, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) announced on Sunday.
A statement from the authority said a YoY analysis showed that aircraft movement jumped from 14485 flights in July 2021 to 18811 in July 2022.
The number of passengers in July 2022 reached to 3,642,594 versus 1,781,753 in July 2021, recording a surge of 94.3 percent, the statement added.
The statement also noted that air freight and mail in July 2022 recorded a decline of 8.3 percent compared to the same month last year.
