HH Sheikha Jowaher Patronizes Graduation of Qatar University’s 49th Cohort
HH Consort of HH the Amir Sheikha Jowaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al‑Thani patronized the graduation ceremony of Qatar University’s 49th cohort, held Tuesday, 5 May 2026, at the university’s Sports and Events Complex.
The ceremony celebrated the achievements of 3,122 female graduates across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, marking a milestone in the university’s academic journey.
During the proceedings, HH Sheikha Jowaher honored 525 outstanding students for their academic excellence. Degrees were formally conferred by HE Dr. Omar Al Ansari, President of Qatar University.
The event featured speeches by Dr. Al Ansari and graduate representative Majd Jaber Al Marri, who addressed attendees on behalf of the graduating class.
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries including sheikhs, ministers, members of the board of trustees, senior academic officials, and families of the graduates, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
Officials noted that the graduation reflects Qatar University’s continued expansion of academic offerings and student enrollment, reinforcing its role as one of the nation’s leading higher education institutions.
