Guinness World Record for 'Largest Underground Car Park' in the World set by Msheireb Downtown Doha

With 10,017 spaces, Msheireb Downtown Doha has secured the title of "Largest Underground Car Park" in the Guinness World Records.

From the ground up, Msheireb Downtown Doha was designed with the human scale in mind. The district has been able to maintain pedestrian-friendly walkways by keeping roadways traffic-lite by the strategic placement of subterranean parking and building amenities. Because underground basements are present across the entire district, this design enhances connectedness throughout the greater city region. According to Eng. Ali Al Kuwari, CEO of Msheireb Properties, "we wanted to reclaim outdoor spaces for the community by removing vehicles from the streets around Msheireb." Our ability to link subterranean car parking and building services allowed architects to create eye-catching structures with dynamic façades on every side. The six-story underground parking system, which can accommodate 10,017 cars, guarantees plenty of room for tenants, residents, and guests. The facility contains an innovative parking system that directs cars to open spots, simplifying and streamlining the parking process.

By eliminating the requirement for rear service doors, the subterranean parking system also significantly influenced building design by enhancing street quality and aesthetic coherence.

Msheireb Downtown Doha, the company's flagship project, was created with the goal of revitalizing the old downtown district with a fresh architectural style that draws inspiration from Qatar's rich cultural legacy while remaining contemporary.
