GCO says Qatar tourism sector has been growing during the first quarter of 2022

Based on the latest quarterly report issued by Qatar Tourism (QT), the tourism sector in the State of Qatar is steadily growing following the easing of travel restrictions, according to the Government Communications Office (GCO), at a time when preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 are ongoing.

The GCO said, in a tweet via its official Twitter account, entitled "The most prominent achievements of the tourism sector in the State of Qatar during the first quarter of 2022": "The number of arrivals to the State of Qatar increased from 64 thousand in the first quarter of 2021 to 613,000 ( or 1.735%) during the same period in 2022."
