The Qatar Calendar House (QCH) announced that Monday, 19 June 2023, will be the first day in the month of Dhul Hijjah for the year 1444H.
The crescent moon for the month, as per the QCH, will be born Sunday at 7:38am, and will set in Qatar’s skies 30 minutes after the sun sets.
QCH said that the official announcement of the beginning of the month of Dhul Hijjah remains the prerogative of the crescent investigation committee.
Dhul Hijja is the twelfth and final month of the Islamic Hijri calendar. It is the month during which Hajj takes place, as well as the Eid Al Adha celebrations.
