The first round of the Qatar Freestyle Drift Championship for the new season 2024-2025 has concluded.

The two-day event was held at the Qatar Car and Motorcycle Racing Club, featuring a competitive atmosphere among freestyle drift champions and a record turnout from fans.

Running for over four hours, the final competitions resulted in Rashid Al Banna winning first place, while Mohammed Al Muhandi secured second place. Abdullah Al Qahtani came in third, ahead of competitors Saud Al Marri and Saud Al Kuwari, who finished in fourth and fifth places, respectively.

Director of organizers at the Qatar Club for Car and Motorcycle Racing, Khalifa Al Khaireen, crowned the winners of the first three places on stage, thereby concluding the first round of this championship and ushering in preparations for the second round, which is scheduled to be held on December 12-13, 2024.

In accordance with the competition rules, each competitor is given one chance to perform on the track and conduct five assessments based on drift movements, reverse maneuvers, figure-eight movements, and reverse transitions, all of which must be completed within a total of four minutes.

The quicker a competitor executes these movements, the more points they will earn. Additionally, there is a specific score allocated for the overall style of the competitor's performance, particularly for the specific movements.
