In Qatar, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has implemented strict regulations addressing littering and improper disposal of waste. Law No. 18 of 2017 on Public Hygiene outlines severe fines for those found violating these regulations.
Engaging in the act of leaving, dumping, or disposing of construction, demolition waste, and solid excavation in areas not designated for such purposes.
Penalty: QR 10,000
Discarding or leaving waste, garbage bags, or empty containers outside public shops or designated containers.

Disposing of food scraps by throwing or leaving them in gardens, beaches, public spaces, or landscapes.

Throwing tissue paper, waste, empty packaging, or spitting on roads, sidewalks, or public spaces.

Disposing of the remnants of trees and gardens on roads and public spaces.
