FIFA Guardians Diploma Programme
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has announced that the number of participants in the FIFA Guardians Diploma Programme for Prevention Fundamentals, an educational initiative aimed at raising awareness of prevention standards worldwide, has reached a record number of around 20,000 people.
All interested parties can join the programme, which is available free of charge online in English, French and Spanish.
Since the launch of the FIFA Guardians Diploma Programme for Prevention in Sport in 2021, FIFA has strengthened cooperation with member associations in this field, and invited them to nominate prevention officers to participate in this programme, who are now known as FIFA Nominated Learners.
It is worth noting that prevention officers from 75 percent of the 211 member associations have completed this programme or are still studying.
Participants in the programme take part in a series of five online courses designed to help them improve prevention standards in their countries, while the Diploma aims to create a network of seasoned prevention experts in the world of football.
To obtain the Diploma, FIFA-nominated learners must attend an in-person workshop on issues management, participate in online discussion forums, take written and online exams and follow online discussion forums on specific topics.
