The Afghanistan pavilion in the International Zone at the International Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha showcases vibrant products and crafts that reflect the history and heritage of a country known as one of the ancient contact points of the Silk Road and human migrations.

The pavilion features Afghan products like natural leather clothing, various nuts, dried fruits, mountain almonds, the famous Afghan sweet made of sugar-coated almonds, long pine nuts, walnuts, various types of dried berries, apricots, black and green raisins, alongside figs and pistachios.

The Afghan pavilion contains a large collection of handicrafts and gemstones, showcasing exquisite design forms using natural silk with colors inspired by nature. It also includes mountain honey, saffron, and crystallized sugar.

In this context, the Afghan pavilion supervisor Ahmed Shah emphasized that their participation in the expo greatly benefits them due to the wide interest it has garnered from visitors of various nationalities.

He added that visitors are keen to purchase Afghan products known for their global reputation and high quality, especially the hand-woven woolen carpets and silver-inlaid bottles with gemstones.

The Afghan pavilion supervisor affirmed that Qatar's hosting of Expo 2023 Doha reflects the international community's confidence in its capabilities, especially following its successful organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
