Ehsan, Qatar Museums Sign MoU
Center for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan), one of the centers affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family's Qatar Social Work Foundation, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar Museums (QM).
The MoU covers awareness-raising that aims to enhance cooperation between the Center and Qatar Museums (MoU) for activating a set of joint community programs and initiatives to serve the elderly, based on the centers main role towards enhancing recognition of the role of the elderly and their contributions to social, economic and cultural development, empowering them and supporting their active participation in all fields, spreading community awareness of their basic rights and issues. It also aims to achieve contact among generations, emphasizing the role of the family in caring for them.
The MoU was co-signed by the Executive Director of Ehsan Manal Ahmed Al Mannai, and CEO of Qatar Museums Mohammed Saad Al Rumaihi.
On this occasion, Al Mannai said that the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Ihsan Center and Qatar Museums comes in recognition by both parties of the importance of strengthening the bonds of cooperation between them, to achieve the common goals of supporting the elderly group in the best possible ways, to continue the process of development and modernization in this vital field and to strive to provide all means of empowerment and necessary care for them.
For his part, Mohammed Saad Al Rumaihi said that Qatar Museums was pleased to cooperate with Ehsan to enhance the role of the elderly and their contributions to society. He added that Qatar Museums is committed to including all members of society in its activities and programs.
The MoU includes many items that would help realize Qatar National Vision 2030 in the field of preserving Qatari heritage in all its forms, through the implementation of joint awareness campaigns related to international days related to the elderly and local and national events in the State of Qatar, with the aim of raising awareness among members of the society. It also aims to contribute to providing all forms of empowerment and care for the elderly, and exchanging experiences and capabilities in the field of providing manual and skill training courses , in addition to the centers elderly members benefiting from the various Qatar Museums' facilities by displaying their products besides holding exhibitions to promote and marketing them.
