DUBAI: Numu, a Dubai-based AI growth platform for restaurants and retailers, has publicly introduced NIA, its proprietary artificial intelligence agent designed to improve revenue and profitability across food delivery marketplaces.
The announcement also marks Numu’s transition out of stealth as the company expands its operations across the UAE and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council region, opening the platform to additional restaurant groups.
From analytics to operational action
NIA, short for Numu Intelligence Analyst, is positioned as an AI ‘head of growth’ for restaurant delivery businesses. Rather than functioning only as a reporting dashboard, the system analyses financial, operational, marketing and customer data across multiple delivery platforms.
The AI agent is designed to identify the causes behind performance changes, recommend priority actions and trigger selected improvements automatically. Numu says it can monitor sales performance, customer conversion, menu visibility, advertising, promotions and operating health around the clock.
The platform supports marketplaces including Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem, Noon Food, Jahez and HungerStation. Restaurant operators can also interact with NIA through messaging services such as WhatsApp and Telegram.
Company reports strong early results
Numu said NIA has already helped manage more than AED 200 million in delivery revenue across over 700 restaurant listings. Brands using the platform include Home Bakery, Saddle House, Feels and Pizza Di Rocco, among others.
According to company-reported figures, restaurant partners have recorded delivery revenue growth ranging from 80% to 140%, while several brands doubled monthly delivery sales within six months. Numu cited one UAE restaurant that increased monthly delivery revenue from about AED 400,000 to more than AED 800,000 during that period.
These figures represent results reported by Numu and may vary according to a restaurant’s market position, operating performance, promotional investment and delivery-platform conditions.
Built for an increasingly complex delivery market
Restaurants selling through several delivery apps must manage pricing, menu structure, advertising, promotions, preparation times, ratings, cancellations and financial reconciliation across separate systems. Numu argues that the complexity makes continuous optimisation difficult for in-house teams and traditional agencies to execute at scale.
Co-founder Pierre Mobarak said restaurant owners are seeking measurable growth rather than another dashboard. He said NIA is intended to understand why performance changed, determine the appropriate response and carry out the required action.
Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Faris Fakhouri said the system was designed to reason like an experienced industry growth operator while working at greater speed and scale. He added that NIA learns from live performance across the wider market as it supports more brands.
Expansion across the UAE and GCC
Numu’s move out of stealth comes as food delivery and quick-commerce channels account for a growing share of sales for restaurants and consumer brands. The company plans to expand access to NIA while investing in a new generation of AI capabilities for delivery operations.
Headquartered in Dubai, Numu currently serves markets including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain, as well as selected operations outside the GCC. The company describes its model as a combination of proprietary AI technology and restaurant-industry expertise focused on both top-line growth and contribution margins.
