Hajj
Today, the Department of Haj and Umrah Affairs within the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs will conduct an electronic draw to select individuals from a pool of 20,774 applicants seeking to perform Haj in 2024.
The allocated quota for Qatar, as set by Saudi authorities, is 4,400 pilgrims for the upcoming Haj season. Following the draw, successful applicants will be notified via text messages (SMS) and are required to engage with authorized Haj tour operators to complete the necessary registration and subsequent steps.
The Ministry emphasized that those selected must register with one of the 23 authorized Haj tour operators listed in the electronic Haj and Umrah Affairs Management System (hajj.gov.qa). The total number of applications for the 2024 Haj season reached 20,774, with online registration opening on September 20, 2023, through the ministry's website.
