Mwani Qatar has announced the resounding success of Qatar's maritime tourism, with over 378,000 passengers aboard 73 vessels during the 2023-24 cruise season. This marks a significant 38 percent increase in visitor numbers and a notable 33 percent rise in the number of ships compared to the previous cruise season.
"This achievement underscores the pivotal role of the port in bolstering the tourism sector, in line with the objectives outlined in Qatar's National Vision 2030," stated Mwani Qatar in a post on X platform.
Running from October 2023 to April 2024, the 2023-24 cruise season was projected to host nearly 80 cruise calls, welcoming approximately 350,000 passengers. This marked the largest cruise season in the country's history.
