Doha Metro Service Updates
In line with the latest cabinet decision announced recently on the revised measures to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the metro services and public transport services will continue to operate at a capacity of 75%.
Qatar Rail has announced on Twitter that Doha Metro, Lusail Tram, Metrolink and Metro Express will operate at 75% capacity starting from Saturday, January 29.
"In view of the updated COVID-19 measures starting 29 Jan 2022, Doha metro, Lusal tram, metrolink and metroexpress will operate at 75% capacity," it said in a tweet.
Apart from the increase in capacity from a previous 60%, the newly announced Covid-19 precautionary measures also entails the closure of places designated for smoking. Food and drinks are also not allowed in metro services and public transport services.
