Doha Metro
Due to a system upgrade across the network, Doha Metro services will be suspended for the Eid Al Adha holidays.
Metro services will be suspended on Fridays between July 9 and August 13, as well as during the Eid holidays between July 21 and 24, according to Qatar Rail.
According to the announcement, the closure is due to a "important system upgrade across the network." Doha Metro will be able to expand its network capacity as a result of the upgrading, allowing more trains to run and offering more regular service to passengers in the future.
"We have chosen periods that typically transport the fewest people to minimize the disruption to our consumers," Qatar Rail noted.
