More than 140 students from Doha British School's three campuses marked their graduation this week. The ceremony brought together students from Ain Khaled, Rawdat Al Hamama, and Al Wakrah. It took place at the Al Wosail Ballroom inside The Ritz-Carlton Doha.

A Milestone for the Class of 2026

Over 400 guests attended the event, including parents, educators, and school leaders. The ceremony honoured Year 12 and Year 13 students who completed internationally recognised programmes. These included the International Baccalaureate, AS Levels, and A Levels.

Hugh Hegarty, Executive Director of Education, delivered the keynote address. He congratulated the graduates on reaching this milestone and praised their resilience and ambition. Hegarty said the school takes pride in the impact these students will go on to make.

Principal Awards Recognise Standout Students

The evening also featured the Principal Awards. One student from each campus received recognition for outstanding achievement, leadership, and contribution to school life.

Robnawaz Khan, Principal of DBS Rawdat Al Hamama, said the achievements reflect more than academic success. She pointed to the character and confidence students built during their time at the school. Khan added that she expects the graduates to keep excelling in their next steps.

Students Reflect on Their Journey

Graduates from all three campuses looked back on the friendships and experiences that shaped their school years. Many described their time at Doha British School as the foundation for the confidence they now carry forward.

What Comes Next for Graduates

Many students are preparing to join universities around the world. Their chosen fields include medicine, engineering, business, and the arts. Others will continue their studies closer to home at City University Qatar in Lusail. The university is a DBS affiliate offering UK degree programmes on a Qatar-based campus.

Doha British School has now opened admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year across all its campuses.
