Ricardo Silva Neves, popularly known as Ricardinho de Embaixadinhas (Ricardinho the juggler), achieved a new world record for football juggling in Qatar yesterday.

Spending an impressive 49 hours and three minutes at Katara, Ricardinho surpassed his own previous record of 48 hours. The Brazilian maestro skillfully manipulated the ball with both feet, orchestrating its continuous bounce using his legs, shoulders, and head.

Upon dropping the ball, Neves collapsed to the floor, having subjected his body to an intense two-day challenge. Immediate medical assistance rushed to his aid. Despite the physical toll, the resilient Brazilian was back on his feet shortly, wearing a triumphant smile after accomplishing this remarkable feat.

This incident is not unfamiliar to Ricardinho, as he had experienced a similar collapse while setting another world record of 34 hours and 5 minutes back in 2021. Reflecting on the endeavor, he emphasized the immense physical and mental exertion required.

In a previous interview with the South China Morning Post, Neves shared that he incorporates ball juggling into various daily activities, such as during breakfast, while brushing his teeth, while shaving, and other moments throughout the day—except for sleep, where it deems 'impossible."
