New auction for special number plates to commence on December 18th

The General Directorate of Traffic has announced the launch of new distinctive number plates via the Sooum App, starting from December 18, 2023.

Through the 'show interest' feature on the app, individuals can bid for number plates. Interested participants can select a number, submit a deposit, and await a specified period. If a single person expresses interest, the number will be sold at the listed price. However, if multiple individuals show interest in the same number plate, the Ministry of Interior has stated that "an internal bidding will be conducted among those interested."

In its continuous efforts to enhance electronic services, the Ministry of Interior introduced the 'Sooum' mobile application in October, aiming to streamline the auctions frequently held by the department.
